Poly Medicure acquires Citieffe group, enters global orthopaedics market

Poly Medicure Ltd. announced on September 25, 2025, the acquisition of 100% stake in Medistream SA, comprising Citieffe SRL and its subsidiaries in USA & Mexico, for an Enterprise Value of INR 324 Crores (€31 Million). This move provides Poly Medicure with an entry into the global orthopaedics market, specifically the trauma and extremities segment. Citieffe, an Italy-based manufacturer, generated revenues of €17.3m and EBITDA of €3.1m in CY 2024, demonstrating robust year-on-year growth of 15% and 14% respectively. The acquisition is expected to close in 4-8 weeks and will be funded by cash balances and internal accruals.

The acquisition offers significant synergies, including product portfolio expansion with the addition of plates and future entry into the joints replacement market. Poly Medicure plans to leverage its manufacturing expertise and global distribution network for US expansion by hiring more sales representatives and potentially outsourcing parts of Citieffe's manufacturing to India to reduce costs and boost margins. Citieffe's strong R&D capabilities, 45 patents, and EU MDR/FDA accreditations complement Poly Medicure's mission to deliver innovative, patient-centric technologies.
