Honda India Power Products to expand business with 'eGX' electric motor unit

Honda India Power Products Limited (HIPP) shareholders, at their September 25, 2025 meeting, approved a key alteration to the company's Memorandum of Association (MOA). This amendment will allow HIPP to expand its business to include the design, development, and manufacturing of an advanced Electric Motor Unit, branded as 'eGX'. This strategic move aligns with evolving industry trends and a growing emphasis on sustainability, targeting applications where traditional engine-powered machinery faces challenges due to noise and emissions. The change is subject to approval from the Registrar of Companies, Delhi & Haryana.

In a related governance decision, shareholders approved the appointment of M/s TVA & Co. LLP as the secretarial auditor for five financial years, commencing from FY 2025-26 through FY 2029-30. M/s TVA & Co. LLP, a peer-reviewed firm specializing in legal and secretarial services, is deemed eligible for this role in accordance with SEBI Listing Regulations and a SEBI circular dated December 31, 2024.
