Go Digit Insurance faces ₹116.57m GST demand

Go Digit General Insurance Limited announced on September 25, 2025, that it received a Show Cause Notice (SCN) from the Directorate General of GST Intelligence, Mumbai Zonal Unit. The notice, issued under Regulation 74(1) of the Central Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017, raises a total demand of ₹11,65,75,990, along with applicable interest and penalty.

The company plans to file a detailed reply with facts, figures, and justifications to the GST Authority within the prescribed timelines, substantiated by relevant evidence to support its tax position. The tax claim amount is currently under contention.

Despite the significant demand, Go Digit General Insurance stated there is no immediate impact on its financial, operational, or other activities. The company will place this intimation on its website for investor relations.
