BHEL announces management changes, joint venture proposal halted

Effective September 25, 2025, BHEL has appointed Shri V Shrinivas Rao as head of HBG, PS-BG II, Noida, and Shri Ajay Kumar as head of PS-PEM and CPC, Noida. Shri Rao holds BE (Mechanical), M. Tech (Mechanical), and PGDM (Financial Management) degrees, with 33 years of service. Shri Kumar, with 35 years of service, has a BE (Electrical & Electronics) degree. Both will report to the director (Power).

Shri Pankaj Rastogi, executive director (HBG), PS-BG II, Noida, and Shri Praveen Kishore, executive director (CPC), PS-HQ, Noida and PS-PEM-Addl. Charge, superannuated from the company's services on September 24, 2025.

In a separate development, BHEL’s board of directors noted on September 25, 2025, that the Department of Investment and Public Asset Management (DIPAM) has not approved the proposal to form a joint venture between BHEL and REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited.
