Knowledge Marine wins Deendayal Port Authority order for dredging, excavation

Knowledge Marine & Engineering Works Limited (KMEW) has been awarded a work order by the Deendayal Port Authority (DPA) for "Excavation/ Cutting in Water Front Area at Roll-on/ Roll/off (Ro-Ro) facilities for Handling Over Dimensional Cargo (ODC Cargo) at Bunder Basin." The contract, valued at ₹91,85,120/-, is expected to be executed over four months.

This project involves dredging and excavation in the Water Front area near the South Wharf at Bunder Basin, comprising the removal of sand, silt, clay, and other soil types within the Ro-Ro Pockets. KMEW plans to deploy its in-house vessel fleet and proven dredging equipment to ensure efficient execution, reinforcing its position as a key player in India's marine engineering sector.

The company's chief executive, Sujay Kewalramani, highlighted that this order strengthens KMEW's presence at a critical maritime gateway and demonstrates its capability to deliver complex projects with efficiency and discipline. This domestic contract underscores KMEW's strategic focus on scaling operations and enhancing asset utilization.
