Vesuvius India announces directorate changes, new appointments

Vesuvius India Limited announced key changes to its board of directors following a meeting on September 23, 2025. The company appointed Rashmi Joshi and Sridhar Gorthi as additional directors in the independent category, each for a five-year term starting September 24, 2025, pending shareholder approval. Both Joshi, a chartered accountant and company secretary with over three decades of experience, and Gorthi, a law graduate and founding partner of Trilegal, bring extensive professional backgrounds.

Additionally, Biswadip Gupta was appointed as an additional director under the non-executive non-independent category, effective September 25, 2025, also subject to shareholder approval. Gupta, with over four decades in the steel and refractory industries, had recently completed his second five-year term as an independent director. Concurrently, Sudipto Sarkar resigned from his directorship effective September 23, 2025, citing personal reasons.

The board also noted the completion of the second five-year terms for independent directors Biswadip Gupta and Nayantara Palchoudhuri on September 24, 2025. Postal ballot notices will be issued to shareholders for approval of the new appointments.
