Marico shareholders overwhelmingly approve Bhaskar Bhat as independent director

Marico Limited announced today the results of its postal ballot, confirming the appointment of Bhaskar Bhat as an independent director, effective October 1, 2025. The special resolution garnered significant shareholder approval, with 99.8791% of the total votes polled cast in favor.

The remote e-voting process, conducted from August 24, 2025, to September 22, 2025, saw a total of 1,18,93,83,541 votes polled from 1,29,78,94,756 eligible shares. Promoter and promoter group votes were unanimously in favor, representing 76,49,42,740 shares, or 100.00% of their polled votes. Public institutions voted 99.6665% in favor, contributing 42,25,91,871 votes, while public non-institutions cast 94.6046% of their votes (4,11,270 shares) in support.

The company stated that the resolution passed with the requisite majority, with the voting results and the scrutinizer's report made available on the company's and Central Depository Services (India) Limited's websites.
