Jagran Prakashan faces litigation from non-executive director

Jagran Prakashan Limited (JPL) announced on September 23, 2025, that its non-executive director, Shailendra Mohan Gupta, has filed a company petition against JPL, Jagran Media Network Investment Private Limited (JMNIPL), and other members of the Gupta Family. The petition was filed under Sections 241-242 and 244 of the Companies Act, 2013, with no update yet on its listing.

Additionally, a Company Application (C.A. No. 19 of 2025) has been filed regarding a matter titled "Mahendra Mohan Gupta and Ors. v. Devendra Mohan Gupta and Ors., C.P. No. 64 of 2023." This application challenges resolutions passed by majority directors in JMNIPL and the appointment of an administrator in JMNIPL. This matter is scheduled for its next listing on September 24, 2025, at 2:30 p.m.

JPL stated that the claims involved are injunctive and declaratory relief, and therefore, cannot be quantified in terms of financial implications. The company will provide further disclosures upon any material developments in these proceedings.
