Rail Vikas Nigam wins Southern Railway contract for traction substations

Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) announced it has emerged as the lowest bidder (L1) for a Southern Railway project. The contract is for "Design, Supply, Erection, Testing & Commissioning of Traction Sub Stations," including Scott-Connected power quality compensating equipment and associated switching posts for a 2x25 kV AT Feeding System and SCADA & Automatic Fault Locator. This work will span the Jolarpettai Jn. - Salem Jn. (JTJ-SA) Section of Salem Division.

The project, a normal course of business for RVNL, supports Southern Railway's Mission 3000MT Loading Target. The total contract value is Rs 145,34,66,865.48, including applicable taxes, with an execution period of 540 days.

This domestic project does not involve any promoter or promoter group interest in the awarding entity, nor does it constitute a related party transaction. The declaration was made on September 22, 2025, aligning with SEBI Circular No. SEBI/HO/CFD/CFD-PoD-1/P/CIR/2023/123, dated July 13, 2023.
