Great Eastern Shipping adds "Jag Amol" to growing fleet

Great Eastern Shipping Company Limited (G E Shipping) announced the delivery of a 2015-built Kamsarmax Dry Bulk Carrier, "Jag Amol," with a capacity of approximately 81,843 dwt. The company had contracted to purchase this vessel in Q2 FY26, and its acquisition was financed entirely through internal accruals.

With this delivery, G E Shipping's owned fleet now comprises 39 vessels. This includes 26 tankers (5 crude carriers, 17 product tankers, 4 LPG carriers) and 13 dry bulk carriers, totaling an aggregate of 3.13 million dwt.

In Q2 FY26, the company also contracted to buy one additional secondhand Kamsarmax dry bulk carrier and one secondhand Suezmax crude tanker, alongside contracting to sell one secondhand Suezmax crude tanker. These three transactions involving purchases and sales are anticipated to be completed by Q3 FY26.
