Exicom backs mobile EV charging startup, expanding ecosystem

Exicom Tele-Systems Limited has announced its backing of Charger on Wheels, a mobile EV charging startup, on September 22, 2025. This partnership will enable Charger on Wheels to strengthen its technology platform and expand mobile EV charging services, which Exicom sees as a crucial emerging piece of the EV charging ecosystem. Exicom’s support, as a technology enabler, aligns with its broader vision to bolster the electric mobility ecosystem by fostering innovative and user-centric charging solutions.

According to Anant Nahata, managing director and chief executive of Exicom, mobile EV charging offers a Capex-light solution to address challenges like grid readiness in urban areas and fire safety norms that restrict EV chargers in basements. This initiative is expected to accelerate the adoption of practical and user-friendly charging solutions in India.

This backing follows Exicom's earlier collaborations with Hubject for interoperability, Ionage for an integrated Charger Management System, and Mufin Green Infra for turnkey solutions. Charger on Wheels currently has partnerships with leading developers for residential charging via mobile vans, providing on-demand DC fast charging services through its fleet.
