N.R. Agarwal Industries plant fire causes Rs 4 crore loss

N.R. Agarwal Industries Limited announced a fire incident at its Unit-I plant in Vapi, Gujarat, on September 19, 2025, at 6:15 p.m. The fire originated in an electrical transformer and spread to the Electrical PCC room, VFDs, ACBs, LT, and HT cables. The incident was reported to both the BSE and the National Stock Exchange of India.

The company confirmed that the fire was successfully controlled using in-house firefighting systems and additional tenders from GIDC Vapi. N.R. Agarwal Industries holds an Industrial All Risk Insurance Policy, and a claim has been lodged for the damages incurred.

The estimated monetary loss from the incident is approximately Rs. 4 crores, with an estimated production loss of 2300 MT. Despite the damages, the company anticipates that the affected plant will be back in operation within seven days.
