RITES secures two-year locomotive leasing contract with NTPC

RITES Limited, a Schedule 'A' Enterprise of the Government of India, has secured a rate contract from NTPC Limited for the "Hiring of Diesel Locomotives on Lease Basis for NTPC Power Plants across the Country."

The contract, awarded on September 19, 2025, is valued at an indicative figure of ₹78.65 crore, excluding GST. The actual value of orders will depend on the specific requirements of various NTPC stations, with individual purchase orders to be placed within the contract's validity.

This domestic rate contract will be effective from September 20, 2025, until September 19, 2027. The agreement involves RITES providing diesel locomotives on lease to NTPC power plants nationwide. RITES confirmed that this transaction is not considered a related party transaction.
