Reliance Power unaffected by recent CBI actions against former affiliates

Reliance Power Limited has clarified that its business operations, financial performance, shareholders, and employees remain unaffected by recent Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) actions concerning Reliance Commercial Finance (RCFL), Reliance Home Finance (RHFL), and Anil Ambani. The company emphasized that RCFL and RHFL matters, which involve alleged transactions over 10 years old, were fully resolved in 2022 and 2023 respectively, through lender-driven processes led by Bank of Baroda.

The company further stated that Anil D. Ambani was never on the boards of RCFL or RHFL as per public records and has not been on the board of Reliance Power Limited for over 3.5 years. Reliance Power is an independent listed entity, and these actions do not bear on its day-to-day management, governance, or financial stability.

Reliance Power, part of the Reliance Group, manages an operating portfolio of 5,305 megawatts, including the 3960-megawatt Sasan Power Limited plant, which has been ranked as the best operating power plant in India for the past seven years.
