GIC Housing Finance appoints Dinesh Waghela as independent director

GIC Housing Finance Ltd. announced the appointment of Dinesh Waghela as an additional director, serving as a non-executive-independent director, effective September 23, 2025. This decision, approved by the board of directors on September 19, 2025, is subject to the approval of the company's shareholders. The announcement was made in compliance with SEBI regulations.

Waghela brings over 35 years of experience in the insurance and reinsurance sectors. His extensive background includes key roles at GIC Re, where he began his career in 1985, and leadership positions such as general manager and joint CMD at The Oriental Insurance Co. Ltd. He also served as CFO for The New India Assurance Company and The Oriental Insurance Company.

GIC Housing Finance confirmed there is no inter-se relationship between Waghela and other directors, and he has not been debarred from holding a directorship by SEBI or any other authority.
