Aurobindo Pharma subsidiary: Minor fire, minimal operational impact expected

On September 18, 2025, a small fire broke out in Granulation Area-10 of Unit IV at APL Healthcare Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Aurobindo Pharma, located in Naidupeta, Andhra Pradesh. The incident, attributed to a short circuit, spread to a panel, affecting Granulation Area-10 and causing partial damage to Granulation Area-8. Out of 19 lines in the unit, two were impacted for approximately two weeks.

The company confirmed that the fire was swiftly controlled by its in-house fire hydrant team with support from external fire tenders. No casualties or injuries were reported. The incident is expected to result in a temporary production impact estimated at approximately 3% of the unit's monthly capacity.

Aurobindo Pharma has initiated steps for refurbishment and restoration, anticipating the impacted areas to be operational within the next few weeks. The company asserts the event is not expected to have any material financial or operational impact.
