Solar Industries appoints new independent director to board

Solar Industries India Limited announced the appointment of Ms. Girija Balakrishnan as an additional director, designated as a non-executive independent director, effective September 18, 2025. The decision was made through a circular resolution on September 17, 2025, following a recommendation from the nomination and remuneration committee. Her term of appointment is for five years, subject to shareholder approval.

Ms. Balakrishnan brings over 31 years of specialized experience in corporate laws, mergers and acquisitions, commercial laws, foreign direct investments, joint ventures, and foreign collaboration. A law graduate from the National Law School of India, Bangalore, and a member of the Bar Council of Karnataka, she also handles litigations before various courts, tribunals, and SEBI.

This appointment aligns with Regulation 30 of SEBI Listing Regulations, fulfilling requirements for additional directors. The company confirmed that Ms. Balakrishnan is not related to any existing directors and is not debarred from holding directorial office by any regulatory order.
