L&T secures significant Kudankulam nuclear power project contract

Larsen & Toubro's Heavy Civil Infrastructure (HCI) business announced it has won a "Significant" order from Nuclear Power Corporation of India Ltd (NPCIL) for the 2X1000 Mwe Kudankulam Nuclear Power Project (KKNPP - 5 & 6) in Tamil Nadu. According to L&T's project classification, a "Significant" order falls within the value range of ₹1,000 to ₹2,500 Cr.

The scope of work for this order includes the mechanical package, encompassing the installation of nuclear reactor and turbine systems, sea water systems, cranes, and other related equipment. Additionally, the project covers accessories, piping, structural steelwork, painting, anti-corrosion coating, insulation, and full testing across various buildings and structures on site.
