Motherson incorporates new subsidiary for automotive solutions

Samvardhana Motherson International Limited (SAMIL) announced on September 13, 2025, the incorporation of a wholly owned subsidiary, Motherson Macauto Solutions Limited (MMASL). This follows a joint venture agreement (JVA) between SAMIL and Taiwan-listed Macauto Industrial Co., Ltd., disclosed on August 1, 2025. MMASL was incorporated on September 12, 2025, to achieve the JVA's objectives.

MMASL's primary business will involve designing, developing, manufacturing, assembling, and servicing a broad portfolio of automotive components. These include door, window, and roof sunshade systems, luggage cover systems, and wind deflectors. The initial paid-up equity share capital for MMASL is INR 5,00,000/-, entirely held by SAMIL.

Per the JVA, the equity shareholding will later be adjusted, with SAMIL (along with nominee shareholders) holding 50% + 1 Share and Macauto Industrial Co., Ltd. holding 50% - 1 Share. This incorporation marks a significant step in SAMIL's strategic partnership to expand its automotive solutions offerings.
