KRBL independent director resigns, citing governance concerns

KRBL Limited announced on September 13, 2025, the resignation of anil kumar chaudhary, an independent director, effective September 08, 2025. The company confirmed no other material reasons for his resignation beyond those stated in his letter.

In his resignation letter, chaudhary cited an inability to meaningfully contribute to the board's functioning. He stated that "effective governance and truly independent oversight are essential ingredients for safeguarding stakeholder interests and I find the prevailing dynamics of the Board to be inconsistent with these principles." He further highlighted several persistent issues, including inconsistencies in board meeting minutes, withheld information impacting decision-making, an "unjust write-off" of export receivables, concerns over CSR fund usage, and "undue interference by invitees" in board proceedings.
