Biocon urges shareholders to claim unclaimed dividends in 100-day campaign

Biocon Limited has announced its participation in the "Saksham Niveshak" 100 Days Campaign, launched by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, urging shareholders to update their know-your-customer (KYC) and bank details to claim unpaid or unclaimed dividends. This initiative, which runs from July 28, 2025, to November 06, 2025, aims to prevent the transfer of these dividends to the Investor Education and Protection Fund (IEPF). The company confirmed it has sent letters to affected shareholders, emphasizing the importance of updating personal information and claiming outstanding payments.

The campaign highlights that any dividend amounts remaining unpaid or unclaimed for seven consecutive years or more will be transferred to the IEPF, in accordance with the Companies Act, 2013. Biocon noted that unpaid dividends and shares up to the financial year 2016-17 have already been transferred to the IEPF, and the process for transferring those for the financial year 2017-18 is underway. Shareholders are advised to surrender original dividend warrants or submit an Application-cum-Undertaking if warrants are lost.

For shareholders holding shares in electronic/dematerialized form, required documents include original unclaimed warrants (if applicable), a request letter, a duly executed Application-cum-Undertaking, and a copy of the updated Client Master List and Permanent Account Number (PAN) card with a cancelled cheque. For physical shares, an Investor Service Request Form ISR-1 and ISR-2, along with supporting documents including an original cancelled cheque, are also required.
