TCS launches chiplet-based services for semiconductor innovation

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) announced the launch of its Chiplet-based System Engineering Services, designed to help semiconductor companies accelerate the design of next-generation chips. These new services aim to address the increasing global demand for advanced semiconductors by enabling faster, more efficient, and powerful processors through the use of chiplets – small integrated circuits acting as building blocks for larger chips.

The timing of this launch is significant for India's semiconductor market, valued at $45–50 bn in 2024-2025 and projected to reach $100–110 bn by 2030. TCS’ new offerings are expected to bolster India's position as a global hub for chip design and manufacturing, providing both Indian and international companies access to expertise in chip-to-system engineering. The company highlights its comprehensive design and verification services for UCle™ and HBM, alongside advanced package design services.

TCS aims to democratize next-generation chip design for customers, building on over two decades of experience in the semiconductor industry. The company has a workforce of over 600,000 employees across 55 countries and reported consolidated revenues of $30 bn for the fiscal year ended March 31, 2025.
