HFCL secures Andhra Pradesh land for defense manufacturing facilities

HFCL Limited has received approval from the State Investment Promotion Board, Andhra Pradesh, for the allotment of 1,000 acres of land in Madakasira Mandal, Sri Sathya Sai District. This approval, communicated via G.O. no. Ms. No.154 dated September 06, 2025, is intended for establishing defense manufacturing facilities.

The land allotment will occur in two phases: Phase-I will see the Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation Limited ("APIICL") allot 329 acres, followed by an additional 671 acres in Phase II. These facilities will produce artillery ammunition shells, TNT filling, and multi-mode hand grenades (MMHG), alongside other defense products.

This strategic move aligns with HFCL's growth objectives, reinforcing its presence and enabling further expansion within the defense sector.
