Coal India appoints Chaturvedi & Co. LLP as statutory auditor for FY26

Coal India Limited (CIL) has appointed M/s CHATURVEDI & CO LLP, Kolkata, as its statutory auditor for the financial year 2025-26. The appointment, effective from September 10, 2025, was made by the Comptroller and Auditor General of India (CAG) under section 139 of the Companies Act 2013. The auditor will also serve as the statutory/joint statutory auditor for consolidated financial statements.

M/s CHATURVEDI & CO LLP is located at 60, Bentinck Street, Kolkata - 700069, West Bengal. Their audit scope will exclude DCC, which is specifically assigned to Southern Coal Fields. CIL confirmed that no directors are related to the newly appointed auditing firm, and a detailed profile of the firm will be provided shortly.

This decision was communicated to both the Bombay Stock Exchange Limited and the National Stock Exchange of India Limited on September 11, 2025, in compliance with Regulation 30 of SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015. The appointment is also subject to additional conditions stipulated by the CAG.
