Sun Pharma promoter releases pledged shares

Raksha Sudhir Valia, a promoter of Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Limited, has announced the release of 50,000 equity shares previously pledged as security. The shares were released on September 4, 2025, from Aditya Birla Finance Limited, which had held them against a loan availed by a third party.

This transaction reduces the total number of encumbered shares held by Raksha Sudhir Valia from 1,26,40,000 to 1,25,90,000. This represents a slight decrease in the percentage of total share capital that is encumbered, from 0.527% to 0.525%.

The disclosure was made on September 9, 2025, in alignment with SEBI regulations, and was reported to both the National Stock Exchange of India Ltd and BSE Limited.
