Shipping Corporation of India acquires second VLGC, "Shivalik"

The Shipping Corporation of India Ltd. (SCI) announced the physical delivery of a secondhand Very Large Gas Carrier (VLGC) named "Shivalik" on September 10, 2025. This acquisition, with a deadweight tonnage (DWT) capacity of 54,534 MT and a gross tonnage (GT) of 47,058, was formally completed with the signing of the Protocol of Delivery & Acceptance at 13:30 IST on the same day.

The company informed the stock exchanges, BSE Limited and National Stock Exchange of India Limited, about this event in compliance with Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015. This follows an earlier intimation dated July 4, 2025.

Smt. Swapnita Vikas Yadav, company secretary and compliance officer, formally communicated the details of this fleet expansion. The "Shivalik" is now officially part of SCI's operational assets.
