Rainbow Children's Medicare expands in Andhra Pradesh with new Rajahmundry hospital

Rainbow Children's Medicare Limited (RCML) announced the commencement of operations for a new 100-bed spoke hospital in Rajahmundry, Andhra Pradesh, effective September 10, 2025. This facility increases the company's total bed capacity to approximately 2,285 beds across India. The project, costing approximately ₹60 Crore, was financed through internal accruals.

The Rajahmundry hospital is RCML's third new hospital launch in FY26, following additions in Warangal and Guwahati. This expansion strengthens RCML's presence in Andhra Pradesh, making Rajahmundry its third hospital in the state after Vijayawada and Visakhapatnam. The new hospital offers comprehensive pediatric and perinatal care, including advanced NICU and PICU services.

As of Q1 FY2025-26, RCML's existing capacity utilization stood at 40.2%. The addition of the Rajahmundry hospital will further bolster the company's "Hub & Spoke" network, serving the East and West Godavari districts and an addressable population of nearly 10-12 million.
