Punjab & Sind Bank appoints Jitendra Asati to board

Punjab & Sind Bank has informed stock exchanges of a change in its board of directors with the appointment of Jitendra Asati as a new director. This nomination, replacing M.G. Jayasree, was made by the central government on September 9, 2025.

The appointment is in exercise of powers conferred by clause (b) of sub-section (3) of section 9 of the Banking Companies (Acquisition and Transfer of Undertakings) Act, 1980. Jitendra Asati is currently serving as a director in the government of India, Ministry of Finance, Department of Financial Services.

The bank confirmed that Jitendra Asati is not debarred by SEBI or any other authority from being appointed as a director. There is no relationship between Jitendra Asati and the existing directors of the bank. This change is reported pursuant to Regulation 30 of SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.
