PowerGrid appoints four statutory auditors for fiscal year 2025-26

PowerGrid Corporation of India Limited announced the appointment of four joint statutory auditors for the financial year 2025-26, as directed by the Comptroller & Auditor General of India (C&AG). The appointed firms are M/s. Rama K Gupta & Co. (New Delhi), M/s. Sagar & Associates (Hyderabad), M/s. Jain Paras Bilala & Co. (Kolkata), and M/s. G D Apte & Co. (Mumbai). This announcement was made on September 10, 2025.

The appointed auditors will be responsible for auditing the company's financial statements for the 2025-26 fiscal year. The C&AG's letter also specified that the statutory/joint statutory auditor(s) of the holding company would also audit the Consolidated Financial Statements. The supplementary/test audit will be entrusted to the director general of audit (energy).

The remuneration and other allowances for the auditors will be regulated following guidelines issued by the Department of Company Affairs. The audit firms bring extensive experience, with M/s. Rama K Gupta & Co., established in 1989, having a pan-India presence and experience with PSUs like PowerGrid. Similarly, M/s. Sagar & Associates, also founded in 1989, has served as central statutory auditors for PowerGrid Corporation Limited in previous years. M/s. Jain Paras Bilala & Co. was established in 2002, and M/s. G. D. Apte & Co. is one of the oldest firms, established in 1957.
