GOCL subsidiary IDL Explosives' ban reduced, eligible for tenders

GOCL Corporation Limited announced on September 10, 2025, an update concerning its subsidiary, IDL Explosives Limited (IDLEL), and its business with Coal India Limited (CIL). Following earlier communication, IDLEL pursued the matter with the High Court of Calcutta and CIL.

IDLEL has been informed by CIL, via a letter dated September 9, 2025, that the ban period imposed on IDLEL has been reduced from two years to one year. This decision was made after careful consideration of legal and factual aspects as recorded by the High Court and in light of judicial directions.

Crucially, as the reduced ban period ended on July 2, 2025, IDLEL is now eligible to participate in future CIL tenders and all other Public Sector Undertaking (PSU) tenders. This development allows IDLEL to re-engage in significant business opportunities.
