SPML Infra bags ₹1,438 crore water project in Rajasthan

SPML Infra Limited announced on September 8, 2025, that it has been awarded a ₹1,438 crore project by the Public Health Engineering Department (PHED), Bharatpur, Rajasthan. The project, secured in a joint venture with JWIL Infra Limited (SPML leading with 51%), is part of the Jal Jeevan Mission and aims to transform water access in Dholpur and Saipau block.

The comprehensive project involves constructing an intake well, raw water reservoirs of 10 and 12 million cubic meters, laying 712 kilometers of pipelines, and establishing 21 elevated service reservoirs and main raw water pumping stations. Additionally, it includes a 135 MLD water treatment plant at RWR-2, a 5 MLD water treatment plant at Dholpur, and the provision of functional household tap connections.

The EPC portion is slated for completion in 20 months, followed by a one-year defect liability period. To ensure long-term efficiency, the contract includes a 10-year operation and maintenance agreement. The company states this order reflects the government's confidence in its ability to deliver critical water infrastructure with lasting impact.
