JSW Steel reports strong August production growth, achieves full Indian capacity

JSW Steel reported consolidated crude steel production of 27.03 lakh tonnes for August 2025, marking a 17% year-over-year increase. Indian operations contributed 26.15 lakh tonnes, reflecting a 16% increase compared to August 2024, while JSW Steel USA – Ohio produced 0.88 lakh tonnes.

The company achieved full operational capacity for its Indian crude steel at 34.2 MTPA, following the commissioning of a second converter by JVML, a wholly-owned subsidiary, on August 30, 2025. Capacity utilisation for Indian operations stood at 95% for the month.

JSW Steel's total consolidated crude steel capacity currently stands at 35.7 MTPA, including 1.5 MTPA in the US. The company plans to expand its consolidated capacity to 43.4 MTPA within the next three years.
