SMS Pharmaceuticals announces AGM, strong FY25 results, and expansion plans

SMS Pharmaceuticals will hold its 37th Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Monday, September 29, 2025, at 11:00 AM (IST) via video conferencing, with the record date for dividends set for September 22, 2025. The company reported a 10% increase in revenue to ₹783 crore and a 39% rise in PAT to ₹69 crore for FY25, driven by a diversified portfolio and backward integration. Shareholders will vote on the adoption of financial statements, dividend declaration of Re. 0.40 per equity share, re-appointment of Mr. Trilok Potluri, and approval of material related party transactions with VKT Pharma Private Limited.

The company plans a ₹250 crore capex to expand existing API production, strengthen its effluent treatment plant, build a dedicated R&D facility for a peptide-focused subsidiary, and develop a greenfield CDMO site in Andhra Pradesh. SMS Pharmaceuticals also noted receiving a fine of ₹2,000 per day from August 12, 2024, to November 7, 2024, due to non-compliance with Nomination and Remuneration Committee composition requirements, which has since been rectified.
