Zydus Lifesciences appoints new president, addresses FDA observations

Zydus Lifesciences Limited has announced the appointment of Nitin D. Parekh as president (special projects), effective September 8, 2025, for a two-year term. Parekh, 64, brings extensive experience in finance, strategy, and general management, having previously served as chief financial officer for Zydus Lifesciences for over 16 years. His appointment aims to strengthen the management team.

In a separate development, Zydus Lifesciences reported the closure of a USFDA inspection at its injectable manufacturing plant in Jarod, Gujarat. The inspection, conducted from August 25 to September 5, 2025, concluded with four observations and no data integrity-related concerns. The company plans to address these observations promptly.

This announcement also confirmed Parekh's previous accolades, including best CFO of Healthcare & Pharma (2025) from Assocham, and Hall of Fame (2024) from CFO Collective.
