Shyam Metalics sees mixed sales performance in August

Shyam Metalics and Energy Limited reported a significant 32.83% year-on-year increase in Stainless Steel sales volumes for August 2025, reaching 9,378 MT, though realisations declined by 15.96%. Month-on-month, Stainless Steel volumes rose by 15.75%. Pellet sales saw a massive 216.17% year-on-year surge to 137,392 MT, with realisations also increasing by 13.87%. Pig Iron quantity increased by 20.85% month-on-month to 67,780 MT, with realisations up by 0.79%.

Conversely, Aluminium Foil experienced a 3.72% year-on-year decrease in sales volumes to 1,503 MT, but realisations improved by 15.24%. Speciality Alloys recorded a 17.28% year-on-year drop in sales volumes to 14,849 MT, and realisations fell by 5.51%. Carbon Steel sales volumes slightly decreased by 2.14% year-on-year to 139,057 MT, with realisations down by 3.17%.

The company also noted that its colour-coated plant at Jamuria, implemented in November 2024, has begun producing colour-coated sheets. CR Coil/CR Sheet sales volumes increased by 1.54% month-on-month, while HR Tube/Pipe sales volumes saw a substantial 381.16% month-on-month increase to 332 MT.
