Saurashtra Cement appoints Prakash Jain as new CFO; Rakesh Mehta steps down

Saurashtra Cement Limited announced its board of directors approved the appointment of Prakash Chand Jain as chief financial officer (CFO) and key managerial personnel (KMP), effective September 5, 2025. This decision followed recommendations from the nomination and remuneration committee and the audit committee.

Concurrently, Rakesh Mehta, who served as CFO and KMP, ceased his role effective the close of business hours on September 4, 2025. Mehta had been appointed for an interim period until a new CFO was onboarded.

Jain, 51, is a chartered accountant and CMA (Inter) with over 25 years of experience, primarily in the cement industry. His background includes serving as CFO at Orient Cement Limited for two years and as finance controller for five years. He also held roles as head - P2P at One India BSC and general manager - finance at ACC Limited. Earlier in his career, he was a partner at Mehta & Company, Jaipur, for approximately five years.
