UCO Bank gets RBI nod for GIFT City banking unit

UCO Bank has announced that it has received approval from the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) to establish an IFSC Banking Unit (IBU) in GIFT City, Gandhinagar, Gujarat. This development was communicated via a letter from the RBI dated September 2, 2025.

The establishment of an IBU will allow UCO Bank to participate in international financial services from within India's first operational smart city and international financial services centre. This move aligns with the bank's strategic objectives to enhance its presence in the global financial landscape.

The announcement was made in compliance with Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015, and was signed by Vikash Gupta, company secretary, on September 3, 2025.
