Piccadily Agro Industries sees strong FY25 growth, distillery expansion

Piccadily Agro Industries Limited (PAIL) announced a significant increase in total income to INR 892.8 crore in FY2025, up from INR 828.9 crore in FY2024. This growth was primarily fueled by its distillery business, with IMFL sales volumes for brands like Indri, Camikara, and Whistler increasing by 46% year-over-year. Indri alone saw over 37% volume growth and captured an estimated 55% share of the Indian Single Malt export market. The company’s EBITDA increased by 25.4% to INR 191 crore, and PAT (excluding exceptional items) rose by 22% to INR 105 crore.

To support this growth, PAIL is undertaking a substantial capacity expansion, investing INR 1,000 crore over three years. This includes increasing distillery capacity at Indri from 78 KLPD to 220 KLPD for ENA/Ethanol and from 12 KLPD to 30 KLPD for malt. New distilleries are also being set up in Chhattisgarh (210 KLPD) and Portavadie, Scotland, with barrel storage capacity expanding from 45,000 to 100,000 barrels. The company's sales network has expanded to 28 states and UTs in India, including CSD and Paramilitary outlets, and to 28 international countries, with 16 Indian Duty-Free and 11 International Duty-Free locations.

The sugar business is being evaluated for divestment or demerger due to regulatory controls and limited growth potential. The company’s overall strategy emphasizes premium alcoholic beverages, with ongoing product development and marketing initiatives such as the Camikara Millionaire Bartenders Challenge. In FY2025, PAIL also implemented SAP for enhanced internal controls and adopted NFC technology to combat counterfeiting.
