LIC increases stake in Tata Consultancy Services to over 5%

On September 1, 2025, Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) announced an increase in its stake in Tata Consultancy Services Limited, bringing its total holding to 5.005%. This change follows an acquisition made on August 29, 2025.

Prior to the acquisition, LIC held 18,05,51,256 shares, representing 4.990% of TCS's total share/voting capital. The recent market purchase involved the acquisition of 5,66,000 shares, which constitutes 0.015% of the company's total voting capital.

After this transaction, LIC's total shareholding in Tata Consultancy Services stands at 18,11,17,256 shares. The equity share capital and total voting capital of TCS remain at 3,61,80,87,518 before and after the acquisition.
