DCM Shriram, Aarti Industries partner on long-term chlorine supply

DCM Shriram Ltd and Aarti Industries Ltd (AIL) have entered a long-term strategic agreement for chlorine supply, effective September 2nd, 2025. Under this partnership, DCM Shriram Chemicals will be the exclusive supplier of chlorine from its Chlor-Alkali plant to AIL's new downstream chemicals facility at Zone IV, Jhagadia, Gujarat.

To facilitate this, the companies will construct a state-of-the-art, jacketed underground chlorine pipeline connecting their plants, emphasizing safety, reliability, and environmental protection. Once fully operational, AIL is projected to acquire an additional 200 tonnes of chlorine per day, supplementing the existing 150 tonnes per day purchased from DCM Shriram Chemicals.

This collaboration is expected to strengthen chemical integration and ensure the optimal utilization of DCM Shriram's caustic soda capacities, while also enhancing AIL's supply security for a vital component in its value chain.
