Aarti Industries and DCM Shriram partner for chlorine supply

Aarti Industries Limited (AIL) and DCM Shriram Ltd have entered into a long-term strategic partnership for the supply of chlorine, effective September 2, 2025. Under this agreement, DCM Shriram Chemicals will be the exclusive supplier of chlorine from its Chlor-Alkali plant to AIL's new downstream chemicals facility at Zone IV, Jhagadia, Gujarat. The collaboration involves establishing a state-of-the-art, jacketed underground chlorine pipeline connecting their plants, designed to ensure safety, reliability, and environmental protection.

Upon full operation, AIL is projected to increase its chlorine purchases by an additional 200 tonnes per day, adding to the existing 150 tonnes per day already sourced from DCM Shriram Chemicals. This expansion is a strategic move to secure a vital component of AIL's value chain, supporting cost-effective manufacturing of critical chemicals.

The partnership also reinforces DCM Shriram's position as a preferred supplier and contributes to its indirect chlorine integration strategy, aiming to maximize value and optimize its caustic soda capacities. Both companies emphasize that this collaboration enhances supply security, operational safety, and sustainability for their respective operations, delivering value to customers, investors, and communities.
