VECV sales surge in August, driven by exports

VE Commercial Vehicles Limited (VECV), a subsidiary of Eicher Motors Limited, reported a 9.5% increase in total sales volume for August 2025, reaching 7,167 units compared to 6,543 units in August 2024. For the fiscal year to date (YTD 2025-26), VECV's total sales volume grew by 9.2% to 35,892 units from 32,867 units in the prior year period.

Eicher Trucks and Buses, inclusive of Electric Vehicles (EVs), saw a 10.2% rise in sales to 6,924 units in August 2025, with YTD growth of 9.4%. Domestic Eicher sales increased by 5.0% to 6,331 units for the month. Exports were a key driver, with VECV Exports surging by 132.5% in August 2025 to 593 units from 255 units in August 2024, demonstrating strong international demand.

Within domestic sales, SCV/LMD Trucks (< 18.5T) experienced a 10.6% increase, while HD (≥18.5T) sales grew by 7.6%. LMD Bus sales, however, saw a decline of 10.9%. Volvo Trucks & Buses recorded a modest 0.2% YTD growth, with sales reaching 855 units compared to 853 units last year.
