United Breweries begins Kingfisher production at new Andhra Pradesh facility

United Breweries Limited (UBL), part of the HEINEKEN Company, announced on September 1, 2025, the commencement of Kingfisher beer production at the Ilios Breweries Private Limited facility in East Godavari, Andhra Pradesh. This follows a leasing arrangement disclosed on May 20, 2025, aimed at enhancing UBL’s manufacturing capabilities.

The Ilios Brewery is equipped to produce up to 4.5 lakh cases of beer monthly, complementing the existing 12 lakh case capacity of UBL's Srikakulam brewery. This expansion is designed to meet the growing consumer demand for Kingfisher and other UBL brands in the region and is expected to bolster UBL's supply chain and distribution efficiency across Andhra Pradesh.

According to Vivek Gupta, managing director and chief executive of United Breweries, this localized production will help meet rising consumer demand, boost state revenue, and accelerate industrial growth. The Ilios Brewery is also expected to create over 500 direct and indirect employment opportunities, including jobs in ancillary industries such as packaging and logistics.
