TCS completes major policy migration for Scottish Widows

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) announced on September 1, 2025, that its subsidiary Diligenta has completed one of the UK's largest policy migrations for Lloyds Banking Group's Scottish Widows. This involved moving the life and pension heritage book onto TCS' BaNCS™ administration platform, covering over 3.8 million Scottish Widows customers.

Additionally, TCS implemented its Next-gen BaNCS Wealth administration platform, successfully migrating 980,000 retail customer portfolios. This new platform will support the servicing of Individual Savings Accounts and Open Ended Investment Company products, enhancing digital services for customers and replacing multiple legacy systems with a digitally enabled BFSI platform.

The transformation is part of a 15-year partnership initiated in September 2017 between Scottish Widows and TCS, aimed at replacing legacy systems, simplifying operations, and delivering end-to-end policy administration services for 4 million customers. The TCS BaNCS Insurance Platform currently manages over 20 million policies in the United Kingdom.
