Supriya Lifescience highlights sustainability, employee well-being in new report

Supriya Lifescience Limited announced the release of its Business Responsibility and Sustainability Report for the fiscal year 2024-25, alongside its Annual Report and notice of the 17th Annual General Meeting scheduled for September 24, 2025. The company, primarily engaged in the manufacturing of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API), reported that this activity accounted for 98.17% of its total turnover. The report emphasizes the company's focus on product quality and safety, research and development, and water management.

In terms of environmental performance, the company's total energy consumption for FY 2024-25 was 168,323.85 GJ, with renewable sources contributing 98,033.84 GJ. Water withdrawal totaled 124,289.00 kilolitres, and 81,447.00 kilolitres of water were discharged after in-house effluent treatment. The company recorded zero fatalities and no recordable work-related injuries in both FY 2024-25 and FY 2023-24.

The report also detailed employee welfare initiatives, indicating that 100% of permanent and other than permanent employees are covered by accident insurance. The total cost incurred on well-being measures for employees and workers was 0.29% of total revenue.
