Bajaj Auto sees mixed sales in August, exports surge

Bajaj Auto reported a 5% increase in total sales for August 2025, reaching 417,616 units compared to 397,804 units in August 2024. This growth was primarily driven by a significant 29% surge in exports, totaling 185,218 units, while domestic sales experienced an 8% decline to 232,398 units.

The two-wheeler segment saw a modest 2% overall increase, with exports rising by 25% to 157,778 units, offsetting a 12% drop in domestic sales to 184,109 units. In contrast, commercial vehicles demonstrated robust growth, with a 21% increase in total sales. Domestic commercial vehicle sales rose by 7% to 48,289 units, and exports soared by 58% to 27,440 units.

Year-to-date figures from April to August 2025 show a 2% overall sales increase to 1,894,853 units. During this period, exports grew by 21%, reaching 844,504 units, while domestic sales decreased by 9% to 1,050,349 units compared to the same period last year.
