Sequent Scientific shareholders approve major amalgamation scheme

Sequent Scientific Limited announced its equity shareholders and unsecured trade creditors approved a composite scheme of amalgamation involving ten companies, including Symed Labs, Vandana Life Sciences, and Sequent Research Limited. The approvals were granted at meetings held on August 30, 2025, via video conference/other audio visual means, as per directions from the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT), Hyderabad Bench-II.

The scheme was approved by equity shareholders with the requisite majority, meaning three-fourths in value and a majority of public shareholders, as per SEBI Master Circular. Unsecured trade creditors also approved the scheme with the requisite majority.

A total of 805 equity shareholders participated in the voting, with 18,88,28,941 votes cast in favor and 9,125 against, representing 99.99% approval. The NCLT-appointed scrutinizer, Mr. Venka Reddy Bathina, confirmed the results.
