Electrosteel Castings appoints Bikramjit Ghosh as independent director

Electrosteel Castings Limited announced the appointment of Bikramjit Ghosh as an additional independent director, effective August 30, 2025. This decision, based on the recommendation of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee, was disclosed in compliance with SEBI regulations. Mr. Ghosh’s appointment is for a term of five consecutive years, pending shareholder approval.

Mr. Ghosh brings extensive experience, including over 40 years in professional capacities. He is a chartered accountant and previously served for 22 years as a whole time director and CFO, and a member of the board, for Indian subsidiaries of Danieli S.p.A, Italy. Currently, he is an executive director of DEAL Technology Group and an independent director with a leading Indian business group. His expertise spans finance, corporate strategy, international EPC projects, and business development.

The company affirmed that Mr. Ghosh is not related to any other directors and is not debarred from holding a director's office by virtue of any SEBI order or other regulatory authority. The announcement was made to both the BSE Limited and the National Stock Exchange of India Limited.
