Coromandel International receives re-classification request from former promoter

Coromandel International Limited (CIL) announced on August 30, 2025, that it received a request from Coromandel Engineering Company Limited (CECL) to be re-classified from the 'promoter and promoter group' category to a 'public' shareholder. This request, dated August 28, 2025, follows CECL's divestment of its entire shareholding in CIL on December 29, 2023.

As of the date of the request letter, CECL holds no shares in Coromandel International Limited. CECL confirmed that it does not hold more than 10% of total voting rights, exercise control, or possess special rights in CIL. Additionally, CECL stated that it is not acting in concert with CIL's promoter group and is not privy to any price-sensitive information.

The re-classification request will be presented to CIL's Board of Directors as per Regulation 31A(3) of SEBI Listing Regulations. Following board approval, an application for no-objection will be submitted to the National Stock Exchange of India Limited and BSE Limited.
