Bharat Petroleum appoints new chief general manager for renewable energy

Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd. (BPCL) has appointed Shri Dibyendu Dwijesh Sarkar as chief general manager (renewable energy). Shri Sarkar, who was previously project head for renewable energy, assumed his new role on August 26, 2025. This change in senior management was communicated to the BSE Ltd. and the National Stock Exchange of India Ltd. on August 28, 2025.

Shri Sarkar brings a robust background to his new position, holding a diploma in management studies from Ramniranjan Anandilal Podar College of Commerce & Economics, Mumbai, and a B.E. in Electrical Engineering from Visvesvaraya Regional College of Engineering, Nagpur. His extensive experience includes various roles within renewable energy and the Mumbai Refinery, spanning administration, projects, and maintenance. BPCL confirmed there are no disclosed relationships between Shri Sarkar and other directors.
